Ann O'Hare
Mary Ann O’Hare, 76, of Grand Island, died Saturday, February
4, 2012, at St. Francis Skilled Care, with her family at her side.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 10 at St. Leo’s Catholic
Church. The Reverends Charles Torpey and James O’Kane will officiate.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Leo’s Catholic
Church, with a Vigil service starting at 7 p.m.
All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.
Mary was born December 30, 1945, at Palmer, NE, the daughter of William
Francis and Patricia Evelyn (O’Hern) O’Hare. She grew up
on the family farm near Palmer, graduating from Palmer High School in
1954. After graduation she attended Grand Island Beauty School. Mary
was the owner and operator of the Shear Edge in Grand Island. She was
a hairdresser in Grand Island for over 55 years.
A longtime member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, St. Leo’s
Bible Study and was also active in the St. Leo’s Ladies.
Those left to cherish her memory include sister and brother in law,
Theresa and Joe Sis of Lincoln; sisters-in-law, Beulah O’Hare of
Columbus, Betty O’Hare of Grand Island, and Grace O’Hare
of Sioux City, IA.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Gerald,
Bernard, William, Joe and Patrick O’Hare; and one sister in law,
Agnes O’Hare.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family or to St.
Leo’s Catholic Church.
