John J. Pascoe

John J. Pascoe, 55, of Grand Island, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

John J. PascoeFuneral Service will be Wednesday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Christian Center. The Reverend Steve Warriner will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.

John was born on December 6, 1956 at Hebron, NE, the son of Stewart and Marilyn (Gilligan) Pascoe.

John was raised in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1976. He married Shirley Noziska on September 8, 1978 at Grand Island. He worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads as a Mechanic and transmission Specialist.

He loved his job and working on cars. John enjoyed flowers, especially purple lilies. He was addicted to Netflix, especially the programs about cars, and his favorite movies, American Graffiti and Hollywood Nights. John was so strong, even after his two near death motorcycle accidents over the years. He kept on living life to the fullest. Family was always the most important to John, whether it was giving pony rides to the all the children or making sure that absolutely everything was caught on camera or film. He cared so much about everybody, and was the father to the fatherless because he loved all children so much. John cherished his whole family and every moment as if it were his last.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley; his mother Marilyn and her husband Sibby LeBeau; daughters and their husbands, Tricia and Chris Scharff of Hastings, Joannie and Brice Morgan and Jenny and Jeramy Yelli, both of Grand Island.

Those also left to cherish his memory are his brothers and their wives, Jim and Denise Pascoe of Woodland, CA, Tony Pascoe of Cuba, NM, and Tim Pascoe of Lee’s Summit, MO; sisters and their husbands, Paula and Jack Wingfield of Toledo, OR, Marcia and Jay Keown-Rasmussen of Grand Island , Carla and Hank Swanson of Phillips, Lisa and Mike Roy of Elkhorn, Rita and Ken Place of Grand Island and Sheila and Phil Gianfortone of Turlock, CA; and three grandchildren, Colman and Camryn Scharff and Celica Yelli.

He was welcomed into heaven by his father; a nephew Sam Roy; and Shirley’s parents, William and Marie Noziska.

Memorials are suggested to family to be designated at a later date.
