Donna June Roeber, 77, of Grand Island, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Wood River Good Samaritan Society, with her family at her side.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June, 22nd at All Faiths Funeral
Home Chapel. The Rev. Glen Keylon will officiate. Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 Thursday at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses; LaRae and Randy Anderson of Norfolk, Harlan Roeber of Grand Island, Patty and Dean Homolka of Grand Island, Perry Roeber of Grand Island and Candice Thies of Clarks; a sister, Frances Nickelson of Atlantic, IA.
She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy in 1995; her parents; one brother; and three sisters.
Donna was born January 18, 1935, in Lincoln to, Robert and Sylvia (Grimm) Erdelt. She grew up in Ashland, NE where she received her education.
She was united in marriage Tommy Barron Roeber on February 26, 1956. Following their marriage they lived in Corpus Christi, TX, and Norfolk, NE for many years. The couple made Grand Island their home in 1971. Donna was a homemaker for many years before she was employed by the Hub Lounge for a long period of time.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was an avid bowler, loved gardening and also enjoyed camping.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
