Georgia M. Watkins, 71, of Grand Island, died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
A Celebration of Georgia’s Life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday at
her home. The address is 403 North Grace Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803.
Georgia was born on October 10, 1940 in Marion, IN, the daughter of Leslie and Ruth (Gwin) Croussore.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy; 5 children; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one stepson.
Those also left to cherish her memory are her brothers, John of Florida, Marvin, and Mike Croussore, both of Indiana; sisters, Marietta Butcher, and Martha Croussore, both of Indiana and Margie Brown of Virginia.
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; her brother, Omer; her sister, Iline; and baby sister, Virginia.
Georgia was raised in Marion, IN and received her education in Marion High School. She married Billy Watkins on March 20, 1987 at Arvada, CO.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also greatly enjoyed her family gatherings, BBQ’s, and playing games. She also enjoyed quilting, flowers and gardening, dancing and was an avid baseball fan.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Association of
Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, the Nebraska
Domestic Violence Coalition or the Grand Island Crisis Center.
