Robert "Bob" Levene Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert Virgil “Bob” Levene, 78, of Grand Island, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. In Bob’s words, he is “taking a trip to be with the Good Lord.” To honor Bob’s wishes, cremation was chosen. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family. A private burial will take place at a future date. Bob was born in Grand Island, the son of Alphe and Opal (Elstermeier) Levene. He graduated from St. Paul High School, class of 1962. On May 29, 1962, Bob entered the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged May 27, 1966. He then attended and graduated from Devry Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. In 1968, Bob went to work for TRW Inc. in Ogallala, NE. Later he was employed for 24 years with Dennis Supply Company in Grand Island as a sales representative and store manager and retired in 2013. Bob married Sally Linden (Jepson) on June 9, 2006. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, The Grand Island Saddle Club and American Legion Post 119 of St. Paul. Bob’s greatest enjoyments included golf and Husker football. Survivors include his wife, Sally; children and their spouses, Roxanne and Bret Ludemann, Robbie and Tina Levene and Collette and Rob Douglass; step-children and their spouses, Jeff Linden, Rhonda and Kevin Jenkins and Kecia and Scott Spofford; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; his brothers and sister and their spouses, Alphe and Pat Levene, Joyce and Bill Kubat and Larry and Jan Levene.
