Rosalie Roscoe Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rosalie Roscoe 73 of Grand Island, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. She is dancing again with her beloved, Roger. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 3rd at Grace Lutheran Church. Reverend Daniel Bremer will officiate. Private family burial of ashes will be in the Central City Cemetery. Gathering of family and friends will be from 5-7 PM Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with serving the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either Grace Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School or to the family for future designations. Rosalie was born on August 15, 1948 on a family farm in Otoe County the daughter of Henry and Ruby (Schmidt) Homfeld. As a young girl her family moved to Grand Island where Rosalie graduated from Grand Island Senior High class of 1966. On April 8, 1967 she married her soulmate, Roger Roscoe, at Grace Lutheran Church. This union was blessed with three children: Barbara, Jeffrey and Debora. During her lifetime she worked for Rathman Obermiller Insurance for many years and retired from the Hall County Sheriff Department. Throughout these years she worked for Mike Gorka, CPA. Some of her enjoyments included: Husker Sports, rarely missing a home Husker Volleyball match. She loved bowling, having bowled in 24 national tournaments. She and Roger glided like no other on the dance floor. Rosalie and Roger loved attending their grandkids activities. They loved spending time and celebrating with a special group of friends, “Roscoe’s Rowdies”. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Barbara Sheeks, Jeffrey (Tanya) Roscoe and Debora (Brian) Glover, all of Grand Island; grandchildren, Brody, Kyle, Michael, Walker, Chase and Katie; her siblings, Jeanie Glause, Carolyn Ossana-Schales, Charlene (Gary) Peterson and Donna (Ken) Noel and in-laws, Corwin (Ellen) Roscoe, Larry (Imogene) Roscoe and Wendell (Judy) Roscoe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger on November 24, 2020; her parents and sister, Shirley Stelk and brothers-in-law, Loy Glause and Larry Ossana, Norman Stelk and EJ Schales.
