Anthony John Schuyler

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Anthony John (AJ) Schuyler of Grand Island. Anthony was taken from us too soon. He passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 30. He was at his parents’ home following a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loved ones. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Anthony was born on September 11, 1994, and brought home September 26, 1994, where he was treasured by his parents John and Julie (Simpson) Schuyler of Grand Island. “AJ” brought immeasurable enjoyment and light into our lives with his kind heart, infectious smile, never ending humor, unlimited energy, amazing creativity, boundless curiosity and most often his unremitting persistence. Though his time with us was brief, the depth of his love for those dear to him; his perspective on life; his conviction and unwavering faith and spirit will forever remain in our hearts and minds. From a very young age, AJ demonstrated remarkable strength and courage as he faced various diagnoses and illnesses. He left a lasting impression on everyone who entered his life, remembered for this unwavering love, kind heart and commitment to protecting those close to him. AJ had a thirst for knowledge and was always researching and reading about his interests. His memory was a steel trap. He loved watching movies and could recite every word and scene. He loved music, singing (not well) to “his girl” and he was learning to play guitar. He also loved animals, and they loved him. He collaborated with his mother on creating costumes for himself and designing and handmaking his own version of pro wrestling belts. He loved sports and played golf with his dad regularly. AJ loved to draw and recently tried his hand at painting one of his recent drawings. His creativity had no boundaries, he pictured something in his mind and then “talked” someone into helping him make it happen. He recently helped design and build an iron sword alongside his best friend Don Hanquist. Weight training and body building were a constant in his life, he pursued his physical goals right up to the 1st of December. Anthony was a gentle soul that believed in good, and that people should be honest. He was a man of strong faith and always his true self with anyone he met. AJ is survived by his parents, John and Julie (Simpson) Schuyler. His loving partner “his girl” of 4 ½ years Veronica Bilotta. Grandfather Terry Simpson of Texas. Aunts and Uncles: Joyce (Jack) Welch, Jim (Patty) Schuyler, Jolyne (Mike) Stutzman, Tina (Jerry) Wiese, Patrick (Sharon) Simpson. First Cousins: Justin (Hope) Nelsen, Brian (Dani) Welch, Kristen Welch, Amber (Josh) Arnold, Laura (Ken) Lutkemeier, Trina Nelsen (Nick Schweitzer), Karlee (Tyler) Cohorst, Abbie Schuyler, Evan Wiese, Lexie (Austin) Terjal, and Ryan Wiese. Also left to cherish his memory many 2nd cousins and special people Kasey (Jones) Doud, best friends Don and Ann Hanquist and Veronica’s granddaughters Remadi, Aviendha and Ariya Villanueva. Anthony was proceeded in death by grandparents: Adrian and Loretta Schuyler, Margaret and Don Tidemann, Shirley Simpson and Sandy Simpson. Cousins: Justin Simpson and Ian Simpson. A service celebrating the life of Anthony John Schuyler will be held on Saturday December 21, 2024, at All Faiths Funeral Home 2929 S.
