Bonnie Mae Hudnall

Bonnie Mae Hudnall, 93, of rural Chapman, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Grand Island Regional Medical Center. A funeral service and celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the First Baptist Church in Chapman with Rev. Beth Gregory as the officiant. Burial will follow in the Chapman Cemetery. Visitation of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at All Faiths Funeral Home from 5-7 P.M. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with serving the family. Online condolences may be left al giallfaiths.com. Bonnie was born on October 4, 1931 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Fred and Goldie (Smith) Harrie. She grew up on the family farm in rural Chapman and graduated from Chapman High School, Class of 1949. On January 8, 1950 she was united in marriage to Warren Hudnall. They continued to live and raise their family on the family farm north of Chapman. To this union they were blessed with seven children. Bonnie was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Chapman and always made sure the family made it to Sunday school and church each week. Her faith and love for her family was instilled in all of her children every day. She always took care of her children's needs before her own, making sure they were abl e to attend all of their activities including church, school and sports all through grade school and high school staying up late many nights preparing for whatever her children needed for the next day’s schedule. She was known to say after a squabble “don’t hurt their feelings!” And every night when the kids went upstairs to bed, she reminded them, “don’t forget your prayers!” Bonnie also was the manager of the Chapman Pump and Pantry for 15 years. She enjoyed working with and helping her 3 daughters with Mossy Pond for 20 years. She was quite a seamstress and did a lot of sewing for her children over the years. Knitting was a hobby she also enjoyed and was quite a talented artist. Warren and Bonnie loved to dance together and enjoyed traveling with their friends. Family was a very important part of her life, and she dearly loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kerry (Donn) Graff of Osceola, Julie (Michael) Crocker of Chapman, Steven (Jolene) Hudnall of Grand Island, Linda (Don) Ressler of Grand Island, Brian Hudnall of Omaha, David (Lori) Hudnall of Grand Island and Mark (JuDean) Hudnall of Chapman; 23 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and one more on the way; and brother, Robert Harrie. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 71 years, Warren; brothers, Don and Jim Harrie; sister, Loraine Skinner; and grandson, Jeffrey Crocker.
