Ivelynn "Kay" Dwinell

Ivelynn “Kay” Dwinell, 69, of Grand Island, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, following an automobile accident. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, February 26, at All Faiths Funeral Home. We will celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, at Northridge Assembly of God in Grand Island. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday in Pibel Lake Cemetery near Spalding. Kay was born August 24, 1947, in Olathe, Colorado, the daughter of Eddie and Juanita Harwood. She met her lifelong husband, Roy Dwinell, in January of 1964 and they were married on August 7th of the same year. This past year on their anniversary they celebrated 52 years of marriage. Kay went on and graduated from Rye High School at Rye Colorado in 1965, where she was the editor of the Rye High School news publication. In 1968 when they moved from Colorado to North Loup, Nebraska. where they raised their children. For the past fourteen years, they have resided in Grand Island. An excellent home maker, Kay was well-known for her never-ending faith in the Lord, her generous love of her family and friends, as well as her exceptional shopping skills. Always with a smile, she encouraged others around her in prayer in spite of her own suffering. She is an inspiration to her family and to those who knew her. She spent hours in prayer and many have seen the fruit of her love in their lives. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Roy; children, Ronda Golden of Abilene, TX and Randy Dwinell and wife Julie of Roca, NE; brothers, Neal Harwood and wife Judy of Tuscumbia, MO and Leon Harwood and wife Betty of Pueblo, CO; sister, Glenna Harrison and husband Chuck of Falcon, CO; grandchildren, Jeff Caldwell and wife Lisa, Kelli King and husband Daniel, and Garrett, Landon, and Dalton Dwinell; and beloved great-grandchildren Kaileena and Beckett Caldwell, Avery and Riley King, and Dustyn Dwinell; many nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Jerry.
