Jacquelyn "Jackie" J. Pollock, 80, of Grand Island, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at All Faiths Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island. The service will be livestreamed on the church's website. Pastor Adam Snoberger will officiate. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences can be left at www.giallfaiths.com. Jacquelyn was born on August 2, 1945, the daughter of Arthur and Edna (Meyer) Quandt in Grand Island. She attended school at Trinity Lutheran and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1963. She was a woman whose story began simply, on a farm where life was shaped by early mornings, hard work, and strong values. Those beginnings stayed with her. They built her resilience, her humility, and her deep appreciation for the little things. She carried these attributes with her every single day of her life. From those roots, she forged her own path. Starting as a telephone operator, she didn’t just do her job; she built a career. Through dedication, determination, and quiet strength, she built a 30-year career step by step, ultimately becoming a manager. That journey speaks volumes about who she was: a woman committed, capable, and never afraid to put in the work to get where she wanted to go. But if you asked her, her greatest accomplishments weren’t found in a title or a job; they were found in her faith and her family. On May 17, 1964, Jacquelyn was united in marriage to Larry Pollock. This union was blessed with a son, Shawn, and two daughters, Rachelle and Kristin. Jacquelyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Her faith was her anchor. It guided her, steadied her, and gave her strength through every season of life. It was something she lived, in her kindness, her generosity, and the way she treated others. She loved deeply and fiercely, and that love was felt in big ways and small by her family and friends in conversations, in traditions, in moments of support, and in the way she made everyone feel like they belonged. She never knew a stranger. To her, everyone was a friend she just hadn’t met yet. She welcomed people with open arms, open conversation, and usually a generous dose of humor. She had a spark, an ornery streak that kept life interesting and kept all of us on our toes. She could make you laugh when you least expected it, and sometimes right when you needed it most. That playful spirit was part of her charm, part of her strength, and part of what made her unforgettable. She taught everyone she met about hard work, faith, about loving others, and about not taking life too seriously. She showed us how to stay strong while still finding joy, how to lead with kindness, and how to leave a lasting impression simply by being yourself. Her life was a gift. And the legacy she leaves behind is one of love, resilience, faith, and joy. Those left to carry her spirit forward include her husband, Larry; son Shawn; wife Debbie (Deines) of Papillion; daughter Rachelle Hinrichs; husband, Chad of Seward; daughter Kristin Reimers; husband, Kevin of St. Paul; grandchildren, Tanner, Hunter, and Skyler Pollock, Riley Pollock, and Jaci Hinrichs, Kaden Reimers; wife Madison (Van Housen) and Karsen Reimers; great-grandson Krew, brother Walter “Butch” Quandt; wife Marilyn of California, sister in laws JoAnn Quandt of O’Neill; Linda Quandt of Lincoln, Gretchen Ruhnke of Omaha, Janet Stithem of Texas, brother in law Jack Pollock; wife Midge of Fairbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Howard, Orin, and Arthur Quandt Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Becky Quandt.
