Jonathan "Jon" Paul Muchow

Jonathan “Jon” Paul Muchow, age 32, of Grand Island, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at CHI St. Francis Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at 11:30am at All Faiths Funeral Home with Dan Naranjo officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website. A visitation will be held from 10-11:30am prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family burial of his urn will take place at the Grand Island City Cemetery. Memorials suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences can be left at www.giallfaiths.com. He gave the gift of life to numerous people by being an organ and tissue donor. His donation will have a lasting impact and live on with many. Born on June 20, 1991, in Grand Island, Nebraska, Jon grew up in Ravenna, graduating from Ravenna High School in 2010. He participated in various activities, including football, track, wrestling, and even the One Act play. Despite battling Type 1 diabetes, Jon excelled in sports, never letting it hinder his passion. Jon's funny personality brightened the lives of those around him and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. In the past 7 years Jon’s health started to decline but he did his best to keep going. Those were the most challenging years for him. While living in Lincoln, Jon worked at Costco, as a landscaper and a waiter. He moved back to Grand Island in 2021 and was working as a server. Jon loved watching Scooby-Doo, Nebraska and Packers football and the Challenge with his grandma. In his final four months, Jon's life displayed a positive trajectory. He would have wanted those who loved him to cherish the memories and celebrate his life, rather than dwell on his passing. He is survived by his parents, William “Bill” and Kathryn “Kathy” Muchow both of Grand Island; brother, Geoffrey “Geoff” Muchow of Grand Island; sisters, Tara Muchow (Aaron Jones) of Las Vegas and their children, Colby, Caleb and Casey and Amanda (Jon) Rood of Kearney and their children, Kinleigh and Jaxon; grandma, Joan Davis Jensen; aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends and beloved dogs Knuckles and husky, Flynn He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Therese Muchow; grandpa, Jim Davis and husky, Zeke.
