Judith LouRee Dobesh 12/27/1952 ~ 12/13/2024 Poplar Bluff, Missouri ~ Grand Island, Nebraska In Loving Memory of Judith Lou Ree Dobesh (McMillen), affectionately known as Lou Ree, who was born on December 27, 1952, and passed away on December 13, 2024. Lou Ree’s journey included love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family and her work. In 1973, she married Rodney Wulf, with whom she raised their two uniquely talented children, Les Wulf of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Keshia Brown of Benedict, Nebraska. After Rodney's passing in 2001, Lou Ree found love again with her Soulmate, Bernard Dobesh, whom she married in 2014. Despite Bernard's passing in 2023, Lou Ree remained a pillar of strength for her family until her final days. Lou Ree was a woman of integrity, loyalty, and resilience. As a successful businesswoman, she owned and operated two restaurants, worked various jobs to provide for her loved ones, and even found joy in truck driving over the road. Her family always came first, and she excelled at nurturing and guiding her children, Keshia & Les. Proud of her family's achievements, Lou Ree had a special place in her heart for her seven grandchildren—Angellea, Lane, Michaela, Terrah, Desire’, Trace, & Trinitee—and four great-grandchildren—Kamryn, Auttum, Renesme’, & Moonlight. She cherished moments spent gardening, decorating, baking, embarking on long road trips, indulging in pampering sessions, enjoying the thrill of gambling, and simply being in the presence of her children. One of her dreams as far back as I can remember was to own a Corvette before she died. One Promise Rodney Wulf made her that he made good on was to buy her that Corvette before he died. With that Corvette, she joined a car club. This was one of the highlights of her life. She had a lot of fun in that car like she hadn’t had since she was a teenager racing the local sheriffs’ deputies. No seriously, she did that. To the detriment of the poor deputys’ engine. Because when it was all said and done, he was having to explain to his boss why he blew up the engine in his squad car. The only reason she got away with that was because the deputy did not want to tell his boss that he had been beaten in a race by a girl. One of the last of her kind, she was a very diverse lady. She could keep up with the best of them at whatever she set her mind and laid her hands to. And did it by God’s grace with a smile on her face. She was a natural crack shot with a gun. I don’t know many men who could’ve outshot her. And she knew it. So did they. Lou Ree’s logical approach to life and her innate ability to provide sound advice endeared her to many. She was the glue that held her family together, offering unwavering support and love to all who knew her. In her passing, Lou Ree is reunited with her father, Eddy McMillen, Stepfather Glen Brumbaugh, her husbands, Rodney Wulf and Bernard Dobesh, her brother Daniel, and her sisters Kila and Diane, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Survived by her daughter Keshia Brown and son-in-law Lonnie Brown, son Les Wulf and daughter-in-law Christina Wulf, mother Darlene Brumbaugh, sisters Glenda (Jimbo) Williams and Ruthie (Dennis) Wentworth, brother Shane (Carmen) Brumbaugh, as well as 7 grandchildren, & 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends, Lou Ree’s memory will forever be treasured by those whose lives she touched. May her spirit of strength, love, and devotion live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be sorely missed and never forgotten Fly high Mama and rest easy. You deserve it. Don’t even trip, we got this.
