LeAnn Joyce Stubbs

LeAnn Joyce Stubbs, age 57, of Grand Island, joined her Heavenly family on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, after a courageous 4-year battle with cervical cancer. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11am at All Faiths Funeral Home with Father Mark Maresh officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Inurnment will follow the service at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Ravenna. A reception after the graveside will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Hall in Ravenna. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences can be left at www.giallfaiths.com. Please do not dress up. Come as you are, as that was LeAnn’s style. Nebraska and Raiders attire (cough cough) are also encouraged. LeAnn was born on December 16, 1967 to Keith and Joyce Stubbs. She grew up in the Grand Island area, but spent much time in Ravenna on her grandparent’s farm with her twin sister, 3 brothers, and cousins. LeAnn loved her various jobs throughout her life, starting at Hinkey Dinkey in the deli and bakery. For a while, LeAnn worked at the Skagway North video store with her very dear friend Kerm. They made a great team together! After the video store closed, LeAnn went on to work at the Skagway South liquor store. She truly loved her job there, as well as her coworkers who quickly became her extended family. LeAnn loved her animals! From the “stray” squirrels, to the various dogs she cared for, all were welcome. Her favorite companion was her beloved dog, Lady. We know she was the first to greet LeAnn when she entered the gates of Heaven! A fond memory and story about LeAnn is that she would often times boast about the fact that she had shot a bigger buck than all of her brothers! This is a little fact that she made sure they never forgot! The family would like to give a special thanks to AseraCare Hospice and the Emerald Angels for the care and love they showed to LeAnn. LeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Joyce Stubbs; brother, Tom Stubbs; grandparents; numerous aunts, uncles, and relatives and dear friends, Patty Anderson and Penny Hough. Those left to cherish her memory are her twin sister, DeAnn Stubbs; her eldest brother, Danny (Lisa) Stubbs; her younger brother, Donny Stubbs; her beloved nephew and nieces, Tanner Stubbs (Maria), Kelcee Stubbs, and Kaeli (Alex) Van Hoosen. You fought so hard, and now you are at peace, reunited with your family; two and four-legged. We love you LeAnn!
