Patsy Ann Ellis

Patsy A. Ellis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on the morning of Thursday, July 24, 2025, peacefully at the age of 92. She was surrounded by family and love in her final days, just as she had surrounded others with love throughout her long and meaningful life. Patsy was born in 1932 to Harry and Lily Huebner. She was raised with strong values, a sharp sense of humor, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. She attended school in Alda. On December 8, 1951, Patsy married the love of her life, Addren “John” Ellis. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with devotion, laughter, and adventure. Their bond was one of quiet strength and true partnership. Patsy and John raised two sons, Randal and Russell, whom they cherished deeply. Family was always the center of Patsy's world. She delighted in her granddaughters and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable pride and joy. Her eyes would light up at every visit, story, or photo shared. Patsy and John shared a passion for travel and loved attending horse races together. Whether exploring a new destination, going out to eat, or cheering on a favorite horse, they made every moment count. Patsy also had a soft spot for her dachshunds over the years, who were constant companions and treasured members of the family. Patsy's life was defined by warmth, generosity, and an unshakable love for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Patsy is survived by her sons, Randal (Mary Lynne) Ellis of Trumbull and Russell (Cindy) Ellis of Doniphan; her granddaughters, Carrie (Erik) Gaasvig, Tamara Daugherty (Justin), and Tracey (Chris) Trampe; great-grandchildren, Taelyr, Brookelynne, Delainey, and Brayden Daughtery, Gage and Colt Gaasvig, and Addalynne and Enzlee Trampe; along with sisters-in-law, Beverly "Babe" (Lamoyne) Darnel and LaVonne Hansen and many loving friends and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lily Huebner; her husband, John in 2016; and brother, Jerry Huebner. Private family burial will take place at Grand Island City Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family. Though she has left this earth, Patsy’s spirit remains ever-present — in the wag of a dachshund’s tail, the thrill of a race, and the warmth of a family held close.
