Ronald Gene White

Ron G. White, 58, of Grand Island, died on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. Visitation will be held from5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 27 at All Faiths Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Kurt Busskohl will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in North Loup. Ron was born on June 17, 1957 in Minden, son of Eugene and Mary-Ann (Drawbridge) White. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lynette; step-children, Nicole Sayles of Tucson, AZ, Melissa (James) Paxton of St. Paul, and Kristal Smith Betancourt of Grand Island; his parents, Gene and Mary-Ann White of Grand Island; sisters, Debbie (Brian) Morse of Grand Island and Elizabeth Schneberger of Grand Island; grandma, Maxine Zulkoski; step-grandchildren, Julianna, Aiden, Sydney, Dawson, Talyr, Kaleigh, and Aliyah; niece, Nicole (Gonzo) Ramirez and their kids, Treston, Makena, Briana and Olivia; niece, Andrea (Josh) Bacon and their kids, Kalyb and Kayla and niece, Amber Schneberger and her friend Kyle Meyer; and his MLR family; along with extended family and friends. Ron was raised and received his education in Grand Island, graduating from Northwest High School with the class of 1975. Following high school he attended two years of college at Central Community College in Hastings. As one of the original employees of MRL Crane Service, Ron operated a crane for over 30 years. On November 25, 2006 he was united in marriage to Lynette Tenopir, with this union he was blessed with three step-daughters and seven step-grandchildren. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. As a man of many talents he was also a member of Grand Island Modeler Club and Vintage and Classic Wheels Club. He loved to rebuild cars for himself, as well as, friends and family. His personal collection included a ’37 Chevy pickup and ’38 Coupe. Ron’s enjoyments included, hunting, especially with his muzzle loading rifle. Ron enjoyed reading, and was a Green Bay Packers fan. As a humble man, Ron will be remembered for his big heart and kind nature. Memorials are suggested to the family or Donor’s choice.
