Sharon "Sue" Moran

Sharon “Sue” Moran, age 79, of Grand Island, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Bickford Senior Living surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th at 11am at True North Church with Pastor Paul Canady officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Memorials are suggested to Project Hunger. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences can be left at www.giallfaiths.com. Sue was born on May 16, 1946 in Fremont to Emmett and Billie (Brookes) Rasmussen. Her family lived on a farm outside of Fremont until they moved to Grand Island, when she was 7 years old. She attended West Lawn Elementary School, Walnut Middle School and Grand Island Senior High, graduating in 1964. Sue worked for Rinder Printing for over 15 years, until the business closed. She then was the secretary for E-Free Church for several years. Her last job was at Newell Elementary School as a para, she loved working with the kids and families. On September 21, 1979 she was united in marriage to the love of her life and best friend, Thomas “Tom” Moran. They enjoyed camping and riding bikes together. Tom and Sue were always busy, and at any given time seemed to be in the middle of a home project. She liked to garden, read, the outdoors and spending time outside with her family. Sue loved Fast and Furious movies and watching them with her grandsons. Sue was a member of True North Church and taught Sunday school for years. She loved Jesus and her faith was truly a cornerstone of her life and how she lived every day. She helped with Project Hunger and many different organizations and projects. She had a giving heart and just wanted to help people however she could. Her heart was all about helping others and especially those in need and those that were hungry. She never wanted anyone to be hungry and was always the first to help when needed. Her dog, Auggie and cat, Theodore held a special place in her heart. Above all else her family was her greatest pride and joy. She cherished the time she spent with her grandsons and great grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory include children, Marty Wheeler and Christi (Eric) Rademacher both of Grand Island; grandsons, Nate Rademacher and Samuel (Destiny) Rademacher both of Grand Island; great grandchildren, Addy, Taya and Cohen; nephews, Craig Lottes, Shawn Rasmussen and Joel Rasmussen and nieces, Shannon Marsh and Adi Rasmussen. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Billie Farr and Emmett Rasmussen; husband, Tom; brother, William Rasmussen and sister, Judy Lottes.
