Shawnee May Taylor, age 23, of Chapman, NE, left this world on February 8, 2025. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, February 13th at 10am at All Faiths Funeral Home with Dan Naranjo officiating. A lunch and wake will be held following the service at the Masonic Lodge in Central City, 1625 17th Street. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12th from 5-7pm at All Faiths Funeral Home. Flowers can be sent to All Faiths Funeral Home and any donations to the established GoFundMe and Venmo will be used for funeral expenses and to set up an education fund for her daughter Symphony. Shawnee was born into this world on June 28, 2001 in St. Paul, NE to Craig and Glynda Taylor. The second she came into this world it got a little brighter. She was always a ball of smiles when she was little and could light up the darkest rooms. She spent her first few years living in Clarks, NE. When she was 4 years old, she moved to Lake Ozark, MO along with her older sister Cheyanna and her parents. She attended elementary school there and made many friends with her bubbly personality and her caring nature. When she was 10 years old her and her family retuned to Nebraska to live closer to her mother’s side of the family. She finished elementary and middle school in Chapman, NE. Then attended and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 2019. This was one of her proudest moments and something she worked hard for and that really showed that if Shawnee wanted to do something there was nothing anyone could say or do to stop her. She was the smallest immovable force in the world. Shawnee was a jack of all trades and had the pleasure of working with a bunch of different people making friends along the way. She was always a huge smile with legs anywhere she worked and loved helping people. Shawnee’s greatest joy was being a mom. She brought her daughter Symphony into the world in 2021. She loved her daughter with her entire being. She loved being silly and playing with her daughter and dance parties were their favorite. She was usually the loudest in the room with the biggest laugh. She was always ready for a good time and any chance to be fun and carefree. She was a caring friend who would do anything for her friends. She was so companionate and wore her heart on her sleeve. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister and mother. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Shawnee is survived by her daughter, Symphony of Chapman; her parents, Craig and Glynda Taylor of Chapman; her brothers, Scott (Tristan) Burris of Wichita, KS with his children, Valley and Zander, Shane (Tasha) Deibert and their children, Cailen, Adilyn, Adrian and Isabelle and Beau Gergen and his family; as well as her sister, Cheyanna Taylor. She also had many aunts, uncles and cousins.
