Shirley Ann Kraft

Shirley Ann Kraft, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6th, at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. Inurnment will follow at Grand Island City Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family, to be designated at a later date. Shirley was born June 11, 1939, the daughter of Lucien “Buck” and Viola (McIntosh) Bottorf. She grew up on a farm in Aurora then moved to Idaho and later to Grand Island, where she graduated from Grand Island Senior High School. On June 2, 1962, Shirley was united in marriage to Harvey Kraft in Grand Island, where the couple made their home and raised their family. Shirley later attended nursing school and earned her LPN degree. She was employed by Lutheran Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center, where she found great fulfillment in helping others. Shirley had a deep love of caring for people and took pride in bringing comfort and kindness to her patients and family alike. Shirley enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She also loved reading, playing cards and board games, putting puzzles together and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with the Five Points Bank Golden Club on various trips and attending the monthly movie at the Grand Theater. Her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit will be dearly missed. Those to cherish her memory include her daughter Janet (Jim) Kuta, daughter Sandra Kraft; sisters, Sharon (Wayne) Gleason and Ronda (Dave) Mudloff; sisters- in-law, Joyce Bottorf, Connie Bottorf, Marie Pope, Linda (Ed) O’Neill; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved four-legged companion, Peanut. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Kraft; her parents; daughter, Gwen Rodgers; sons, Charles Rodgers, Matthew Rodgers and Mark Rodgers; brothers, Donald Bottorf and Larry Bottorf; and sister, Florence (Tom) Casper; brothers-in-law, Norman Pope, Roy (Rita) Kraft, Richard (Mary) Kraft, Phillip (Evelyn) Kraft, and sister-in-law Judy Kraft.
