Terry S James-Quinn

Terry S James-Quinn, 60 of Grand Island, died Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Grand Island Regional Medical Center with her family and friends by her side with support throughout her journey. Terry recently moved from Prairie Winds Assisted Living in Doniphan, Nebraska to Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, September 22nd at 10am at All Faith’s Funeral Home in Grand Island. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. All Faith’s Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Terry was born on April 10, 1963, to William F and Katherine Betty (Montague) James in Grand Island, NE. She was raised in Grand Island, NE and graduated from Northwest High School in 1981. She received an Executive Secretarial diploma from Grand Island School of Business, and later a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in Business Administration and Computer Technology. In 2016 she graduated FROM Ultimate Medical Academy for medical billing and coding. Prior to her disability, Terry worked for the USDA Rural Development in Kearney. She was a fitness instructor with the YMCA in Grand Island. She owned/managed personal property rentals. She met her physical challenges with perseverance eventually working at CHI Cancer Center in Grand Island until covid. Terry loved her daughter, Brittany Quinn. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces that were a part of her life. Time spent in the sun filled her with happiness. She enjoyed softball, lake time, cookouts, playing Uno with family, and Country music. Her most recent life adventures included traveling to the Country Music Awards in Nashville, TN and attending a Luke Bryan concert. Terry brought sunshine to the lives of many. Always a positive attitude and encouragement for others. She battled many obstacles but faced each with faith, determination and strength. In her final days, she would say “Just a girl waiting on a bed.” God has provided the best bed in the house. Forever in our hearts. Survivors include her mother, Betty James; daughter, Brittany Quinn; sister, Jeanne (Jim) Sullivan and their children and grandchildren; brother, Ron (Olivia) James and their children and grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her father, Bill James; Grandparents, William and Louisa Montague, Edwin & Margaret James.
