Vera L Krueger

Vera Krueger, 88, of Grand Island, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Memorial services will be Friday, March 6, 2026, at First Faith United Methodist Church at 10:30 am. Online condolences may be left at www.giallfaiths.com. All Faiths Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Vera was born on April 29, 1937, to Bill and Milda (Reher) Muhs. Vera graduated from Grand Island Senior High and Kearney State College. While at a local dance, Vera met the love of her life, Kay. She was united in marriage to Francis “Kay” Krueger, on August 12, 1956. Vera took pride in caring for her family and home. In addition, she worked with Kay running Krueger Radio and TV. Later, Vera enjoyed working in nutrition services for GIPS where she valued getting to know students and faculty. Vera was a member of First Faith United Methodist Church. She shared her passion for the outdoors with her husband, kids and grandchildren. In their early years they never missed an opportunity to dance. Later, Vera and Kay relished any opportunity to get the camper out and hit the road. Above all she loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were constant sources of joy for her. They looked forward to Grandma’s house for holiday gatherings and especially her homemade desserts. Vera moved to Primrose Retirement Community of Grand Island in May of 2024. She loved life there and made many new friends with the dedicated staff and residents. Vera donated her body to the Anatomical Board for medical research and education. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Dawn (Marvin) Lutz and Doug (Cami) Krueger; brother, Larry (Anne) Muhs; sister-in-law, Barbara Muhs, brother-in-law, Rex (Karin) Krueger and six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Vera was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Kay; son, Dana Krueger; grandson, William Lutz; sisters, Ella Rubesh and LoAnn Roach; brothers, Eldon Muhs, Don Muhs and Doyle Muhs. On behalf of the Krueger family, we would like to thank the management and staff at Primrose for providing a loving, caring and safe place for Mom. Memorials suggested to the family for designation at a later date.
