Wanda Vivian Zornes, 48 of Grand Island died on Sunday, August 9, 2015, with her family by her side. To honor Wanda’s wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 15th at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. Pastor Tim Rust will officiate. A gathering will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Wanda was born on January 1, 1967 daughter of Cecil and Eileen (Feddersen) Zornes, in Grand Island. Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Cecil and Eileen Zornes of Grand Island; children, Alyssa Kelso of Central City, and Kristopher Kelso of Central City; twin sister, Wendy (Brad) Bromwich of Grand Island; brothers, Cecil (Dorothy) Zornes Jr. of Claremore, OK, Greg Zornes of Chapman; grandson, Tallan Kelso of Central City: valued friend, Jeff Brown of Grand Island; along with a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by grandparent, Elza and Alda Zornes, Christian and Vivian Feddersen, infant brother, Timothy Zornes, nephew Matthew Zornes. She was raised in Grand Island where she attended Grand Island High School. She later went on to earn her GED. Wanda was untied in marriage to Steve Kelso; this union was blessed with two children, Kristopher and Alyssa. Wanda was a member of Destiny Church; faith was always important to Wanda, having accepted the Lord into her heart at the age of eight. Wanda was a very talented artist, painting murals, landscapes, and horses. She enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, skiing, croqueting and knitting. She volunteered at Goodwill for many years, and also painted the lighthouse mural. Wanda loved Christmas time; she enjoyed the Christmas shows and Christmas music. Most of all she loved her family and loved to spend time with them. Memorials are suggested to the family.
