Richard was born on November 7, 1962 in Grand Island, the son of Jerry and Diane (Walton) Aldana. He was raised in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island Senior High class of 1981. After graduation he moved to Denver, Colorado where he studied the Heating and Air Conditioning business and later started his own company (Aldana Heating and Air Conditioning). He took great pride in his work. Rich loved the mountains. In the Autumn and Winter, he enjoyed hunting elk and ice fishing. Spring and Summer he liked to camp and fish at different lakes in both Colorado and Nebraska. Eventually, he acquired every (toy) imaginable that made his hobbies even more enjoyable. Through his hobbies he became quite the chef and vegetable gardener and canned everything that could be canned and made his own elk jerky. He was a natural jack-of-many trades and could repair or install just about anything. When Rich took an interest in something like bow hunting or learning computers, etc., he would thoroughly study the subject and then refine it for his purposes. He never did things just partway. He and Samantha Cross wed in 2003, in Colorado and Rich prepared the whole wedding feast for their guests. To this union they were blessed with son, Nathaniel (Nathan) Aldana who was the light and love of his life. He was so proud of Nathan and to anyone he met, if he could, he'd steer the conversation towards his son so that he could boast of Nathan’s accomplishments. Rich and Nathan moved back to Grand Island in 2010. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Nathaniel Aldana; grandson, Jackson Aldana; his father, Jerry (Shannon) Aldana of Grand Island; his mother, Diane Walton of Grand Island; brothers, Quentin (Lynne) Aldana of Farmington, MN and Shayne Aldana (Stephanie Massing) of Hastings; nephews, Augustus, Maximillian, Austin, Lukas and Elijah Aldana; step siblings, Joshua (Holly) Mueller, Jeremy (Kate) Mueller, Kimberly Mueller, Matthew (Allison) Mueller and step nephews and nieces and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
