Brandon Reid Wagner

Brandon Reid Wagner lived life on his own terms. Sometimes those terms made us laugh, sometimes they made us shake our heads, and sometimes they challenged those who loved him most. But through it all, one thing never changed—Brandon had a big heart. Born on June 5, 1983, to Rochelle Cervantes Kreutzer and Brian Sohrweid, Brandon was lovingly adopted at birth by Ron and Betty Wagner, who raised him in Grand Island, Nebraska. He attended Grand Island schools, later earned his GED, and continued his education by taking classes at Southeast Community College. If there was one role Brandon treasured above all others, it was being "Dad." His daughters, Angelina and Hailey, were the light of his life. Time spent with his girls brought him his greatest happiness, and he loved them with everything he had. Brandon was a proud registered member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and found genuine joy in learning about his Native heritage and family history. He also loved sports, especially baseball and football, and could always appreciate a good game. Those who knew Brandon know he wasn't one to take the straight or predictable road. His journey had twists and turns, victories and hardships, and decisions that weren't always easy to understand. But every chapter was part of the story that made him uniquely Brandon—a man who kept trying, kept caring, and left an impression wherever he went. He also had a wonderfully childlike way of looking at the world. As a little boy, Brandon would carefully tear every chicken nugget in half because, in his mind, that meant he had twice as many nuggets. That simple bit of childhood logic became one of those family stories that never stopped making everyone smile. It perfectly captured the playful spirit that stayed with him throughout his life. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, and siblings Cody Kreutzer and Nika Kreutzer He is lovingly survived by his parents, Ron and Betty Wagner; his daughters, Angelina and Hailey; his siblings, Mitchell (Steph) Wagner of Doniphan, Diona (Troy) Hartwig, BJ of Lincoln, Rhett of Idaho, Bronc, Carissa (Blaine) of Wyoming, and Eric (Alexandra) of Tennessee; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends. Brandon's life reminds us that people are never defined by only their mistakes or only their successes. They are remembered for the love they gave, the laughter they shared, and the place they hold in the hearts of those who knew them. Brandon's story was uniquely his, and his memory will continue to live on through his daughters, his family, and the many stories that will be told for years to come. Rest easy, Brandon. We hope you've found the peace you were searching for. Services will be Tuesday, July 21st at 10 am at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island, NE. Luncheon to follow at the American Legion.
