Oscar M Landaverde

Oscar M. Landaverde, 63, of Grand Island passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at CHI-Health St. Francis. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Jehova Nissi Church at 215 W. 3rd Street, Grand Island. Graveside services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Grand Island City Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements, memorials are designated to the family. Oscar was born on June 20, 1960 at El Salvador, son of Francisco Vargas and Emma Landaverde. After his father’s death he was raised by his step-father, Juan Antonio Ramirez. Oscar graduated high school and earned a certification in Business Administration. He served in 1982 in the El Salvador National Guard. In 1993, he followed his family to California and then settled in Grand Island with his wife, Rosa and raised their three sons. Oscar was employed by Monford until he started his own business painting houses. Oscar enjoyed fishing when younger. He took the time to plant many fruit trees and had an extensive vegetable garden. He is survived by his wife, Rosa; sons, Marvin (Heather Piontkowski) Landaverde, Christian Landaverde and Brian Landaverde all of Grand Island; grandchildren, Andelina and Gabriel; brother, Carlos (Zoila) Landaverde of Las Vegas; numerous friends and extended family. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Anibal Landaverde and Orlando Landaverde. Oscar M.
